Collaborative Consultants is a research consulting firm with years of experience in effectively evaluating health and social issues. Using objective quantitative and qualitative strategies we help clients make evidence-based decisions to improve their programs and achieve their desired outcomes. Our mission is to collaborate with government agencies, nonprofit organizations and private corporations who strive to improve the health and lives of people. We offer an understanding of public and social health issues and programming, and provide social marketing and evaluation research, and strategic planning services.

Barbara Cohen, PhD MPH
Founder and Principal
Dr. Barbara Cohen, began her career as a community-based nutritionist and program planner before proceeding to conduct national program evaluations and policy analyses on issues such as hunger, nutrition programs, homelessness, chronic disease and mental health. She has worked with Federal and local governments, private companies and nonprofit organizations, helping clients understand the internal and external factors impacting their programs, and how they can better reach their desired outcomes. She also has developed a strong strategic planning practice, using step-wise evaluation and facilitation skills to help clients develop impactful goals, actions and outcome metrics. She has a PhD in social policy analysis from the Heller School at Brandeis University and an MPH in nutrition from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
